Bitch bot times out, can this be prevented?

I'm having a problem with my bitch bot where it times out after a minute or so and goes offline.  Maybe I have overlooked something?  Anyhow, I would like it to stay connected until I tell it to quit.  Is this possible?

I see:

bitch_bot has quit (Quit: Hmm, I seem to have timed out)

If the bot receives no data over 3 minutes it assumes there is a network problem and exits. The IRC server should use a ping frequency of at least once every few minutes, so you may need to either disable this check or figure out the ping frequency on your IRC server.
