bitch.pl not working in Mac OSX 10.3

I used Bitch.pl with Mac OSX 10.2 and the HiRes ping did not start (that was the only problem, it worked fine).

Now with Mac OSX 10.3 (Panther) HiRes ping starts, but Bitch.pl quits after a minute.

I liked it better when that ping feature didn't start.

I came out with a fix (I think).

I set the alarm to "0" and didn't comment out anything, now the bot does not quit anymore.

I'm not having such luck.  I've done all I can to remove timeouts and the high res ping, and still the bot quits on me.

What specifically did you do to get it to work?  There are several places where alarm is called.  Did you set them all to 0?
