Hello r1ch,

I can get Quake2 to work under wine, but as soon as i enter an anticheat protected server, it hangs..
I tried opening the default quake2 ports on my router and configuring everything (network-wise) to allow the connection..

I read on another topic that the anticheat used a TCP port ...could that be the problem? What port is it ?

The anticheat module is only compatible with 32-bit Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista.

Well, i know it's a .dll, but wine should be able to use use it, shouldn't it ?
Does it use some special ports or instructions ?

Yes, it is unlikely that WINE will work properly as it is not 32-bit Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista.

I use r1q2 under wine, just deleted anticheat.dll

yes.. you can play on servers where anticheat is not forced. the number of these servers is much greater than servers with forced anticheat
