I've explained countless times before, Win9x is not an OS I will support since it lacks basic memory protection and APIs necessary to make a decent anticheat. I'm not going to support something even Microsoft themselves no longer touch.

If you can run Windows 98 you can run Windows 2000 easily enough. Don't blame me if server admins choose to force use of anticheat, I recommended against it for this very reason - old OSes and Linux and Mac etc don't have a working anticheat client. Complain to the server admins, they are ones stopping you playing, not me.

u got a point. hmm but the thing is i dont know who the admin is and i cant join the server cus it says to get anticheat. And also i dont know if 2000 would work becus this is like the oldest working computer ive had it since i was born which was 10-11 years ago but if u say so i could try 2000 |

Thousands? I doubt there are even that many Q2 players left. The Win98 and Linux users make up a tiny percentage of the remaining player base and I don't have the desire to cater to a dead OS (Win9x) or one that makes anticheat insanely hard to do properly (Linux).

i made run win2000 on an 200mhz mmx with no problem. Go get linux, better than win98 and it optimizes your system.

by the way, go play pinball, the way u talk i doubt u r smart enought to handle the keyboard and the mouse at the same time.
Ive got a friend running win98, and he cant join servers with anticheat. Bue he doesnt complain like that.
PD: hes got a pentium 2 233mhz, 128mb ram, which os would u recomend??? win200 its nice but its a performance eater. On the other hand windows Me requieres less memory but its really a shity os...
