conchars too small at 1440x 990.is there a way to increase size with r1q2?

title says it all..is there a way to increase the size of the conchars....cant see tp messages anymore..they are too small..

I also remember that there was acommand to repeat the message in the middle of the screen...cant find the command thou..

help pls!

evn thouh the commands seem the right ones..apparently the only think that they change is the position of the commands.. now when I type in messages a see them in the left up corner and again the same tp message n the middle left one of the screen.
the new tp message is made of two line, each line a message and they stay there untill a new tp replace the older one and so on.

i donot know if it matters but now I am using default opengl. When set on r1q2 the video restarts and it goes in sw mode only...

You need R1GL to use gl_hudscale.

can u help me to make it work?...as i said if I try to set q2 on r1q2 the video restart and it gos in sw mode only. While on default opengl or nocheat opengl is fine..
