Everquest crash

This is my first post, so be gentle.  I tried searching around, but didnt find the answer.

Anyway, when I try to start EverQuest through Inner Space, this happens and I never even get into the game:

eqgame.exe has encountered problem and needs to close

But when I run the game normally it runs fine.  Thoughts?  Suggestions?  Ive been messing with this for a while now and am getting burned out.
