I have Winxp, with registry modified to make Xp sens as in W98 this way:

So when i load Q2ace, my settings are:
set m_filter "0"
set m_xpfix "0"
Or Quake2:
set m_filter "0"
And my sens is the way I like more.
I have tried with R1q2 and the sens is quite different with the same settings, I've tried with M_directinput m_xpfix and so, and I still like more the sens without R1q2.
m_directinput "1" has no aceleration at all and I feel it annoying.
My suggestion is to make m_directinput with some other cvars to make acceleration control, as Q3 does.
