 Is the Q2Admin:1.17.47 version as safe as 1.17.44?  Sorry if the question seems dumb. I am just a little confused because usually new and improved versions have a higher version#.

Q2admin was at 1.17.43 or something like that when Rich made some changes naming it 1.17.44 and called it a one-time unsupported bug fix. He released his source so anyone could carry it forward if they needed to. I don't know if this 1.17.47 was carried forward from R1ch's code or if it is another fork from the .43 code and doesn't include his fixes for buffer overflows and other bugs that existed in the .43 code. R1ch was of the opinion that if you are using his r1q2 server and anticheat you don't need q2admin since it's simple enough to admin the server engine now and any cheats q2admin detected were hacked to bypass any protections it might have afforded in the old versions. Unless they say specifically that it was based on or incorporated the 1.17.44 code then you don't know whether it's got the same fixes or not.
