Greet Message

Ok so i want to make it display a greet message when the bot joins a channel

But how?
Sorry, im new to Perl but.. can anyone please tell me how?

And how do i make it greet a user when a user joins?

Like:

<User1 joined #channel>
<Bitch> Hi User1, type Bitch, Help for more info

It is quite easy m8.

Add a factoid to the <bots name>
Deny all adding factoids maded for that "name"

When the bot joins the channel, it will "say" his factoid, because it reponds to its own name joining the channel.

If you still don't know how, I'll tell you how ( you need admin permission to the bot, to do so)

Like my bitchbot name is "candy"

I type in the channel the following:

"candy is <reply> Welcome to (my channel) have a nice stay
Then i type in the channel:

"candy, deny candy"

If you want IT to reply to some one who joins a channel, as in a "$nick"  you type simply the following:

name is <reply> Welcome $name.

As in, my name would be martin, i type for martin: "martin is <reply> Hi $nick, how are you??"

If you want the bot to reply to any one, like Hi,<bot-name> ??"
You add factoid like, : "hi is <reply> Hi $nick ??"

make sure you restart your bitch bot, so it saves all.

typing: (bot name), restart. does it..
in this case: " candy, restart"
