This is a false positive detection caused by bad heuristics in AVG Free Edition. Simply pressing ignore will not solve the problem, you will need to perform the following steps:

1. Open the AVG Control Center.

2. Open the Resident Shield configuration.

3. Add your Quake II folder to the exceptions / exclusions list.

I would advise you to check VirusTotal report as anticheat.dll is being classified as suspect/malware by some major anti-malware companies.

I've been checking it, most of the products that 'detect' it are not in widespread use and they are heuristic detections anyway, it shouldn't be my job to make sure AV products don't have false positives Sad.
