R1Q2 with very high tearing even vsync is on! Vista Ultimate 64, GTX 260

Hi Everyone,

I have incredibly high tearing even though when the vertical sync is on at 3d setting of my EVGA GTX 260. My OS is Vista Ultimate 64 but I did not get any tearing when I was using my 9800GTX+ with the same OS! I thought it was a driver version problem so, I uninstalled the latest driver that I was using(181.22) and installed 180.48 (I installed this version because I know someone playing does not have any tearing with vysnc on in quake 2 and it has the same OS as me the only difference is he is using GTX 280 not 260 but the driver is the same!) but even with this 180.48 version no luck!

Has any of you having problem with tearing with GTX 200 series card in Vista 64?

BTW, my monitor is an ancient CRT and I am using a DVI to VGA connector which I believe has nothing to do with this tearing?
