not sure what to make of this

im having an issue with png images in r1q2

my custom pak uses them for all images replacements
and since today, pink has formed all around the images in game
it seems to be noticable only on 2d pics, like conchars and hud images

its almost as if transparency isnt working, because its showing up as pink in areas where it should be

of course when i remove the pak, all is fine, and when i play other games this doesnt happen
so iv ruled those things out

anything that you guys can suggest?

He's been posting rather infrequently. I'm not sure how closely he follows the board. Seems like r/l or projects are taking up a lot of his time.

As for your issue, not sure what causes that but pink is the transparent field holder in the jpg libs as I recall. Time to determine what changed. If you didn't change the r1q2 engine version or openGL code then it's not the code. Fall back to the older version of your pak might help.

i havent changed my pak in forever
i dont believe it can just do this to itself of its own will

its not just text, its all other images
they are 24bit color pngs, and it used to work fine

i think it must be something i did to my system
not sure what yet though. but also this isnt happening in other games either

r1ch had told me he was investigating it, but iv not heard anything about it
