In your server.cfg

set cheats 0

It should be off (set to 0) by default anyway?

Unfortunately I think the Q2 Game DLL checks to see if deathmatch is 0 before checking the value of cheats. Thus it isn't possible to turn off cheats in coop without using a modified game DLL.

A feature will be in the next r1q2ded release to optionally disable certain commands, you can use it to turn off god, give, etc.

Good idea.  Over the past 4 years I ran a quake2 server, I never ran a coop one so didn't realise the cheats were on.  Of course, for coop to work, you sometimes need the cheats to work for the game to function properly.

So that is a good idea, Rich.
