I like the fix. Works great.
A pity about ASE but like all orphan products it sits neglected, suffering from NIH (Not Invented Here) syndrome as no one at Yahoo understands the code or they can't put significant time into it. Yahoo management has their own set of problems right now, like how to make more money and compete with Google, how big their stock options will be, when they can sell out and retire... important things like that. Actually developing a product that people will use or have been using for years, no, we can't worry about that stuff. I hope the team that owned ASE and sold it to Yahoo got their money out of it and are retired and fat and happy now.
Lean code; functional, bug free code; these are not what make successful companies. Hype, buzz, glitz and bloat; these are the hallmark of really successful executive enrichment.
